Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember information between pages and visits. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, work in comparable ways. In this policy we call all of them "cookies" unless we say otherwise.
First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting. Third-party cookies are set by another company whose tools are present on the site.
Our cookie preferences manager groups technologies into three categories:
| Name or tool | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cc_consent | Cornerstone Capital (first party) | Stores your cookie preferences so we can honor them on later visits | Necessary | Up to 12 months |
cc_attr | Cornerstone Capital (first party) | Stores how you arrived, as two entries: the first visit and the most recent arrival from a campaign link or another site. Each holds campaign parameters (UTM), ad click identifiers (fbclid, gclid), landing page and referrer. Both are saved with an inquiry if you submit one. Not set when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal or when you have turned Analytics off, and removed if you turn Analytics off later | Analytics | Up to 90 days |
cc_sticky_dismissed (session storage) | Cornerstone Capital (first party) | Remembers that you closed the request button at the bottom of a coverage page on a phone, so it stays closed for the rest of the visit | Necessary | Until the browser tab is closed |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Cloudflare | Protects forms from bots and fraud. May set its own cookies or use local storage on pages with forms | Necessary | Set by the provider |
| Vercel Web Analytics | Vercel | Aggregate page view measurement. Does not use cookies | Analytics | No cookie set |
| Vercel Speed Insights | Vercel | Page performance measurement. Does not use cookies | Analytics | No cookie set |
The following tools load only after you grant Marketing consent, and only when we have configured them. If you have not granted Marketing consent, they are not loaded.
| Tool | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Measures visits and actions on the Site | Marketing | Set by the provider | |
| Google Ads | Measures ad performance and supports ad delivery | Marketing | Set by the provider | |
| Meta Pixel | Meta | Measures ad performance and supports ad delivery | Marketing | Set by the provider |
| Meta Conversions API | Meta | Sends conversion events from our systems to Meta for ad measurement. Does not set a browser cookie itself | Marketing | Not applicable |
Which of these tools are active depends on which ones we have configured. A tool we have not configured does not load for anyone. When a tool is loaded, the Site sends it a short list of activity events, such as a coverage page view, a form being opened or submitted, or an article being shared, with only the type of form, the page and the step. Form answers and contact details are never sent in these events. Google tags are loaded directly; the Site does not use a tag manager container.
These providers use the information they collect under their own privacy policies. Durations of their cookies are set by them and may change.
You can review and change your choices at any time, including withdrawing consent you gave earlier:
Your choice is stored in the cc_consent cookie in the browser you are using. If you clear your cookies or use a different browser or device, you will need to set your preferences again.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block all cookies, the Site will still load, but your cookie preferences may not be remembered and forms may not work as expected. Browser settings apply only to the browser in which you set them.
The Site recognizes the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When your browser sends it, we treat it as an opt-out of the Marketing category, and the optional tools listed above do not load in that browser.
Our final expense questionnaire at get.cornerstonecapital.org is a separate application. Cookies used there are described in the notices presented there.
We may update this policy when the technologies we use change. When we do, we will change the "updated" date shown on this page.
Questions about this policy can be sent to support@cornerstonecapital.org or you can call (501) 476-1468. See also our Privacy Policy and Your Privacy Choices.
