These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of cornerstonecapital.org (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Site is intended for residents of the United States who are 18 or older.
Cornerstone Capital ("Cornerstone Capital", "we", "us" or "our") is an independent life insurance brokerage. We are not an insurance company. Insurance products are issued by insurance carriers, and each carrier is solely responsible for the policies it issues. We are not affiliated with any government agency, Medicare, Social Security, lender or funeral home. See our Disclosures and Licenses pages for more information.
The content on the Site is general information. It is not individualized insurance, investment, legal, accounting or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation that any product is suitable for you. Decisions about coverage should be made after speaking with a licensed insurance producer and, where appropriate, your own legal or tax advisor.
Descriptions of products on the Site are summaries. The terms of any insurance policy are set out in the policy itself, which controls.
Using the Site, submitting a form or subscribing to our newsletter does not create an insurer and client relationship, a fiduciary relationship or any other professional relationship between you and Cornerstone Capital.
No insurance coverage is bound, issued, changed, renewed or cancelled through the Site. Submitting a request through the Site is not an application for insurance and does not give you coverage of any kind. Coverage exists only when an insurance carrier has approved an application and issued a policy, the policy has been accepted, and any required premium has been paid.
The forms on the Site, including the form on each coverage page, are requests to be contacted. Submitting one is not an application for insurance, does not bind or change any coverage, and does not create an obligation for you or for us. Answers you give are used to prepare for a conversation and are not an underwriting decision. Do not cancel or change existing coverage because you submitted a form.
Eligibility for coverage and the premium you pay depend on underwriting by the insurance carrier and on the information you provide. Approval is never guaranteed. Products, features and availability vary by state and carrier.

The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos and design, are owned by Cornerstone Capital or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. No other rights are granted, and you may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from the content without our written permission.
The Site may link to websites and resources operated by others. We provide those links for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third-party sites, and a link is not an endorsement.
Our final expense questionnaire at get.cornerstonecapital.org is a separate application with its own notices.
If you give us your contact details, we may contact you about your request using the method you selected. Calls and text messages that require your consent are sent only if you have given it, and consent is not a condition of purchase. Text messaging is governed by our SMS Terms. You can change your communication preferences at any time as described in Your Privacy Choices.
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cornerstone Capital disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or without errors, or that the content is complete or current.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cornerstone Capital and its owners, officers, employees, agents and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Site, even if advised of the possibility of those damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Site or these Terms will not exceed one hundred US dollars.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under an insurance policy issued by a carrier or under insurance laws that cannot be waived.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cornerstone Capital and its owners, officers, employees, agents and contractors from claims, losses, liabilities and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Cornerstone Capital is organized, without regard to conflict of law rules. Nothing in this section deprives you of consumer protections that apply to you under the law of the state where you live and that cannot be waived by agreement.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the policies linked in them, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "updated" date shown on this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
